Shibui Sock yarn from Knit Purl in Portland:

New mitts:

with a bit of Blue Moon STR in Star Sapphire

The STR trim is leftover from another pair of mitts; they were much loved and appreciated and when one got lost, the only consolation was a new pair.

The colors are great!! The pattern looks awesome! They seem to be much more useful than those crazy cuffs people make…

The first pair was indeed much loved and I was deeply saddened when one went astray (nice to know they are immortalized here) but I am indeed much consoled with the new pair, and love the nod to the first pair with the new trim. They look so purty with those flowers at the Thai restaurant, too! Have to figure out something wonderful to do with the tiny dragonfly clasps in which they were bundled. Thx, Knitting Woman!

Last Wednesday: D’OH, I wish I had my new mittens!
Thursday: YAY! I remembered them and now each mornign and night my hands will be comfy and beauteous! Thanks again!! Now to decide what to do with the dragonfly clasps…
